Challenges
Without an easy-to-use app, golfers were forced to rely on paper scorecards, separate mobile tools for every requirement. This created gaps in accuracy, convenience, and performance tracking. At times, distance estimates could be off, leading golfers to make poor shot decisions. They did not have an easy way to store and review game data. All the scoring had to be done manually, making the pace of play slow and sometimes frustrating.
Mobile App Design
The design team at Webskitters had to make a straightforward, easy-to-use interface that would appeal to casual players as well as golf enthusiasts. Features such as the GPS Course Guide had to be visually simple without taking up too much screen space.The design needed to ensure that shot tracking, scoring, and stats are displayed in a manner that is intelligible at a glance.
